Post 39 - Final, Final idea based on all planning.

After all planning, my idea hasn't changed dramatically, only small parts of my plan have changed. Here is the final plan...

The first video follows a young couple, as they arrive at a house and we soon realise they are at a house party, we then follow them into the party, throughout the first song, we see Charlie being hands on, rude and aggressive towards everyone. We follow the couple through the party and discover Elsie feels very uncomfortable in her relationship, trapped. Charlie shows her off like a trophy to his friends, grabbing her and kissing her, getting drunk with his friends. Elsie sits uncomfortable and alone in the corner, avoiding drunken party goers as she searches for a missing Charlie. As she looks out the window she sees Charlie passing over a small bag to a friend. Police car lights pull into the drive way, Charlie runs through the house grabbing Elsie, pulling her into a frantic chase. The whole way through this video it will be intercut with romantic clips from previously in their relationship, as well as fore shadowing the second video.

 The second video starts with a fast cut summary of everything that happened in the first video, as well as the romantic clips, this allows people to realise they have missed the first video and they can go back to watch the first video before this one. After the quick recap, it cuts to clips of them running through the back of the house and through the woods, since in the first video he is seen as rude and arrogant in real life but the ideal boyfriend in the extra clips, this video shows more insight to their relationship.The video is interlaced with videos of them arguing, him shouting at her and just generally being awful to her. During the chase between elise, Charlie and the police, Elsie trips over and Charlie leaves her on the floor. At this moment she realises what she has gotten her self into, he isn't worth it. The police dog and police officers run past Elsie's head as she sees Charlie run away, a police officer walks Elsie back to the house as a policeman hauls a kicking Charlie back to the car. Charlie leaves in a police car and Elsie is left alone on the side of the road.

How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? RESEARCH For the research element of my A2 coursework, I used several different media technologies. For example I used YouTube to search for examples of professional and student made music videos from different genres, this was really useful as YouTube allows people from all over the world to upload videos and share content, it meant I could look at students work from all around the world from different schools.  YOUTUBE CREATOR STUDIO I also used YouTube to search for inspiration from different artists and music video directors, such as the video I created for Hannah Lux Davis. Post 1 - Our practice task explained

My group (Megan, Noah, Wendy and I) were randomly given a fairy tale or nursery rhyme, and a question. We were tasked with creating a music video relevant to one of the stimuli given. The fairy tale we were given was- 'The boy who cried wolf'. The question we were given was 'What if you said yes to everything?' After discussion, we decided to choose the nursery rhyme (the boy who cried wolf). This was because we initially had more ideas for this stimulus, and felt we could develop an interesting music video. This is our original mind map for this idea: Potential song choices: 'Running with the Wolves'- Aurora:     This was one of our first choices.
